In 1st Samuel 8:1-22 Israel demanded a king to rule over them in defiance of God's plan. I know that God is sovereign and that all things are no surprise to Him, but remember in this passage of scripture that God's plan was not for a king to rule over them.
God allowed it because of the people. We as the Bride of Christ have done the right thing and stood for what is right, voted the Bible, but the vast majority of church folk, and sinners have done just what Israel did in this scripture and I fear the same end result will be for America as for Israel. The scripture states:
1Sa 8:18-19 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day. Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us.
Note that the scripture does not say because of your king which I have chosen you, it states that they will cry out because of the king Israel chose for herself. God did not want a king, Israel did,
God knew that Saul would not be what He needed to be. Likewise America has chosen a ruler who stands for and supports things contrary to the bible. And eventually they will cry out because of this choice.
We need to support the office of the President, and pray that God will change his heart, and never cease our opposition to that which is against the bible. It is now FOR SUCH TIMES LIKE THESE that God has caused His Bride to arise in power(dunamis). We have the authority(exousia) and now is our time to manifest our Saviour's goal of Kingdom Come.
The nation has cried out for unity, but the Spirit has been crying out separation; Not a separation of people,races, or parties, but a separation of the Bride from the world.
PLAN:
PRAY FOR THE PRESIDENT ELECT. Pray that God will change his heart and open his eyes, removing the deception from his mind and reveal to him the truth regarding abortion, homosexual agenda, and socialist causes
.
CONTINUE TO STAND FOR WHAT IS RIGHT Lift up the standard of the bible, stand for justice, stand for the unborn, pray that the Sanctity of Life act will be passed. Contact all the organizations you can and volunteer. Stand against what is not Godly.
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CHURCH. Pray and fast, seek God's face, study the word, pray for revival in America, be an active worshiper, tithe, go beyond the four walls of your church and take the power of the Bridegroom out to this world. When it begins to change, and not all for the better, then America will begin to flock to the Bride for help and answers.
NEVER DESPAIR. We who stood for what is right must continue to take the high road and not be argumentative with those who did not. Just as Samuel did, he did not argue with them, but allowed God to deal with their decision. We must pray for them, be Jesus to them, and with our lives convince them of what is right. We must tell them the truth, reveal the scriptures to them, we must turn the tide by letting them know we are not pleased with the result but that we serve GOD who is in control, not one man or another.
In light of all this let us leave you with the following:
"Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and
meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling,
gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things
to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from
me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes
everything work together, will work you into his most excellent
harmonies."[Philippians 4:8-9 The Message]
